Manchester City are close to striking a deal for Porto midfielder Fernando.
The Brazilian is off contract in June and Porto have decided to cash in this week.
Sport TV says City have had a £6 million bid for Fernando accepted, with the player keen on a move to the Etihad.
City are also in for Porto teammate Eliaquim Mangala, 22, but they may have to wait till the summer to thrash out terms.
