Liam Gallagher Not Scared Of The Strokes

Beady Eye front-man Liam Gallagher has stated that he does not see New York group The Strokes as a threat.

The Strokes Favourites To Confirm Reading And Leeds Headline Slot

The headline acts for this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival will be announced this Monday, 21st March.

Last year, Blink 182, Arcade Fire and Guns N Roses headlined the event, and this year’s headline acts will be announced just before tickets are released, with The Strokes widely expected to be involved following the release of their new album.

Muse are another band that have been rumoured to top the bill, with names such as Elbow, My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Pulp, Interpol, The Offspring and White Lies also thought to be lined up to appear across the weekend.

Reading Festival will take place at Richfield Avenue from the 25th to 28th August, whilst Leeds Festival will run on the same weekend at Bramham Park.

Reading and Leeds Festival tickets will go on sale at 7pm on Monday 21st March.

The Strokes Confirm New Album Name

The Strokes have confirmed that the name of their latest album will be Angles, and have also revealed the name of the first single release from their fourth studio album. Undercover Of Darkness will be the lead single, whilst other tracks include Taken For A Fool, Life Is Simple, Machu Picchu, Radio Minor Madness and Call Me Back.

The Strokes tickets will soon be available for an expected World tour. The band have already announced live appearances at European summer festivals including Spain’s Benicassim Festival in July, and are soon to confirm full tour plans, which is likely to include a number of UK venues.
