Video: Malouda to be banned for this?

By: Jack | December 6th, 2010

Apparently Florent Malouda is facing a three-match ban for his role – whatever that was – in an incident with the appalling Phil Neville early in Saturday’s draw at Stamford Bridge.

Are you kidding me?

Let’s go to the video review, shall we?

Wow. So Phil crashes into Malouda – from the back – for the second time in quick succession. Malouda reacts with what appears to be nothing more than a tap to the club logo on Neville’s shirt. Phil responds with an epic act in which he squirms in Oscar fashion while grabbing the top of his head, miles away from where he was actually touched by Flo. Hilarity.

He then follows up with this gem of a quote regarding the incident.

“It was my first tackle of the game and after it I get struck in the face and I’m the one who ends up getting booked later on. I think it’s the wrong decision. You want to keep 11 players on the pitch but you always want fairness.”

Delirious. Less than a minute before the altercation, Neviller ripped through the back of Flo. There was a nice lil’ dig on somebody before that, though the name escapes me. You were booked for three hacks inside the opening five minutes of the game. Come on, man.

Don’t forget, Timmy Cahill could’ve blinded our goalkeeper and young Seamus Coleman had no problem lunging into several of our players, including Ashley in the penalty area.

And to think, David Moyes – who I respect greatly, by the way – had the audacity to suggest we were in fact the side who deserves a talking to. Read this: “And I’ve got to say, Phil Neville did fantastic, Florent Malouda stamped on him, got up and ran away, wanted nothing to do with it and a minute later one of their players went and got him booked. Unbelievable. I’m disgusted. Phil could quite easily have stayed down and held his face but he didn’t.”

What is he on? I can only assume he had not yet seen the replay.

Anyway. If Flo is suspended for this farce, I will be livid. Livid.

Match recap coming soon. I have no desire to revisit that second half, gross.

« MotM Poll: Chelsea 1-1 Everton | Home | Nev.You are on drugs. Malouda was lucky not to walk, he slapped Neville and Neville did not squirm around , he got up and made F-All of it and saved Malouda a red NO QUESTION. You must have been at a different game, because some of DRogbas antics were apalling, as was Maloudas 2 footed lunge though Neville. Cahill was attempting to pull out of contact with Cech, as opposed to the cheating Annelka who instigated contact with Howard and earned a ridiculous penalty. Chelsea fans have become delusional since your Oligarch bought you success, you used to be the best of the London fans by miles, now the vast majority display a horrible arrogance and have a Wenger-esque mentality that dictates that you only see things one way at all times and are very ungracious in defeat of in victory. 'New' Chelsea, and their copycats Man City have become a blight on the English game and the sooner the crazy money leaves the Prem the better.MickymcginittyNo mention of Ivanovic's challenge? or Anelka jumping away from the ball and into the goalkeeper for the penaltyJackWell, seeing as this is a Chelsea blog, no. And, seeing as even Moyes said it was a penalty, no. And, well, seeing as this post isn't about either of those two incidents, no.carlo ankle-lottiWhere the hell was the contact phil??? what did he give a chin up???Harryspoonermoyes is a wannabe ferguson, whining away to start withALLANYou guys are lucky it wasnt Nasri or Nani or Esmerelda Ronaldo otherwise they'd still be rolling round now.
Neville was the initial offender but Malouda was just stupid as players HAVE to be sent off for that even though IMO it's just handbags.

Ivanovic's tackle on the other hand was pure venom and NEEDs to be looked at.

Tim Cahil was "eased" to the ground by John Terry and tried to lift his boots to avoid Cech a blind man can see that which is why Probert took no action.

Anelka clearly ran straight into Howard looking for a penalty but I have no qualms with Coleman's late challenge on Cole which if the ball had not long gone should have been a penalty.GuestTwo vicious and deliberate hacks from Neville, left unprotected by the ref.
Moyes LIES about a stamp by Malouda.
Neville LIES about a slap to the face.
Moyes LIES about Neville saving Malouda from a booking.
The video is plain to see.
Moyes has had to apologise to Chelsea in the past regarding LIES he's told post match and had to retract. This time he even fails to retract his lies.

As for Cahill reaching out and studding Cech in the eye in a 20-80 at best, Moyes again LIES to claim it's 50-50 even though Cech has the ball firmly clasped and has time to turn his face away from the collision. Accidental or not, studding someone in the face after the ball has gone (by definition, a studs up challenge) is always a straight red.

Probert needs to look at himself as much as Cahill, Neville and especially Moyes, who goes out of his way to condone and encourage all of it.NevYou need 1 of 3 things,

C To let go of your willy.

More fabricated Chelski nonsense. Deal with it pal, Chelski are falling apart post Wilkins and Ancelotti dosn't have a plan B. Lets see you buy your way out of this one.Yoyo_man2007WTF! this is bullshit, that was just a tap on the chest, he dint even swing his arms to harm Neville.arn00bI'm a little disappointed in Malouda. I don't think much of what he did, but he has to be extra careful in that blue shirt that everyone hates so much. People hate Chelsea. Drogba got a yellow card for having his ribs broken by Evans. Cech got a red card last year for dropping Rodallaga, whereas yellow cards are the order of the day for every other keeper. Lamps had to retake a penalty 3 times because THEIR defenders entered the box before they shoot. Well, I don't know about you but from what I've seen in my life everyone always enters the box before the shot. There's no need to make a comprehensive list.

Chelsea players are not unaware of the national sentiment towards the team, its wealthy owner and its recent success. Seamus Coleman brought Cole down and people are saying "serves him right for cheating on that sweet Cheryl." Lampard is a bad influence to kids for promoting obesity. JT. Drogba. All hated figures. Now that Roman supposedly bought the world cup, things won't get better for the boys in blue.JackJonny Evans' challenge on Chelsea still makes the blood boil. That kid...Bpage2010What the heck are you guys on? He is holding exactly where Malouda touched him! I have seen people sent off for far less than this. Neville got up quickly and certainly helped Malouda out by reacting the way he did. At least speak the truth.JackAre you kidding me? You must be Gary.arn00bThis is just handbags. It was Ivanovic who really ruffled Moyes' feathers.ph0bolusMalouda as a professional shouldn't have went into rage mode, but I agree...Neville probably got up quick because he realized he was an idiot for holding his face and not his chest...Moyes was probably reminiscing of an earlier game, because the Everton players were far from angels...The refs terrible calls didn't help the cause either.blog comments powered by Disqus
