Lineups are in:
Arsenal: Starters: Wojo, Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy, Wilshere, Song, Cesc, Theo, Arshavin, Van Persie Bench: Almunia, Denilson, Squillaci, Eboue, Gibbs, Chamakh, Bendtner
Wolves: Starters: Hennessey, Berra, Stearman, Zubar, Elokobi, Milijas, Henry, Jarvis, Hammill, Doyle, O’Hara Bench: Foley, Fletcher, Ebanks-Blake, Jones, Ward, Hahnemann, Craddock
There’s nothing all that surprising in that lineup for us. It’s pretty much the best lineup we can field at the moment. I’m glad we’re fielding our strongest lineup instead of resting guys for Barca. The league is the priority as far as I’m concerned — we’ve got a real chance of winning and need to push on through this next stretch of relatively easy fixtures. Djourou and Song return to health and the lineup — let’s hope the physios have done all their homework on this and haven’t passed them off as fit if there’s a chance they could have recurring issues.
It should be strong enough. It has to be. Manchester United beat Manchester City 2-1 this morning to go 7 points clear of us. We need to win this one just to keep pace. On the plus side, a win today will take us 4 points clear of Manchester City with a game in hand, so we’ll be on the verge of pulling away from them.
Come on Arsenal.

The amount of bad passes we made today will NOT be acceptable against Barca, they will shove them down our throats. That knock on van Persie's knee scared me a whole lot and I was relieved to see get up and play a few more minutes. Arshavin IS looking better, not great but at least he isn't guaranteed to give the ball away anymore. The next few days before Wednesday are going to be looooooooong.Andylowe14van persie 9 goals in 5 games.. ON FIRE!!JGOh, and West Brom did an Arsenal- 3-0 against West Ham after 30 minutes, game ends 3-3 (in Roy Hodgson's first game in charge, no less.)JGRVP showing what he will do against Barca, and also Arshavin looked good as well. Most importantly, we closed a match amidst pressure and we closed it well. Barca here we come!Homey_MillsWhy did so many fans leave early from a game we were winning?brentonDespite his mistakes, I thought Arshavin had a really good game.JGBendtner just did an amazing defensive tackle. Just pure class.Homey_MillsOk, Martin. Whatever you say.brentonRed card against Villa's Makoun. Will Blackpool draw or win? This is such a great team to cheer for.JGRemember how everyone said they were going down in 20th at the start of the season? Did not deserve to lose against United a few weeks ago, Holloway is a brilliant manager.brentonBrilliant and eminently likeable. I really hope the club's owners are smart with the money they make if they stay up.brentonWigan gets one against Liverpool. Amazingly, Liverpool, if they win, will only be 3 points back of Spurs and Chelsea (though with more games played.Perry S.Come on Wenger, take off RVP right now, no more risk required. We better be able to wrap this up now with whomever he subs in.brentonWilshere needs to shoot more.Homey_MillsWell we didn't waste that one. Very nice.JGLord, that was Barcelona-like.
And 10 goals for RVP in his last 7, may I addbrentonThat was very nice.brentonI'm quite a few minutes behind on my PVR, looking forward to seeing this.JGGD, how many chances are going to miss!!Homey_MillsUh oh, RvP down and not looking good.JGoh man... a few days from the Barca game no less :/
EDIT: He's standing up and grunting, but looking better.OrionHighAsFuckCesc really looks pissed at all this frugality in front of goal. We'd better tighten up at the back, and let the time run out. And with one eye at the Barca fixture, he should take off Robin.. I think he's going to carry a knock before the finally whistle. (hopefully not)Homey_MillsShould I be happy that we're creating a ton of chances, or upset that we're wasting a million of them?TheGunShopThis has been my greatest complain this season....the wasting that is.Perry S.the latter.JGHow did Walcott miss that ?!Perry S.He's pulling an Arshavin today in regards to ill-managed strikes.brentonGreat, the half-time highlights on ESPN are our collapse against Newcastle. I'm not sure how many times I can watch those highlights.
I was in Jamaica, enjoying the beaches, etc, and checked the internet, saw we were 4-0 up, thought it was in the bag. Checked again a few minutes later, and it was 4-2. Headed off to the beach, thinking it would be so ridiculous if we had thrown that lead away, only to discover we in fact had when I checked a few days later. It was traumatizing; luckily I had Red Stripe to console me.SairaxLooked like a pen for Wolves?Perry S.Beautiful vision by Arshavin, but Walcott strikes a sitter directly into the keeper...ughPatoux21Beautiful dive by ArshavinPerry S.Really? Thats what you're going to point out after he's been thrown to the ground about 3 times now without a single call? Arshavin was on the run in the box, the guy had his hand on his shirt, tugged on it, and Arshavin did what any other footballer on this planet would do, go down...Patoux21Or I could mention his huge miss 10ft from goal following a corner from RVP.brentonI thought he was lucky to even get that shot off, with tons of pressure from the defender.Perry S.Unless my eyes are deceiving me, I thought he was ahead of the defender with lone possession of the ball.brentonHe never had possession, he just got a foot on it instinctively, I thought.Perry S.May have been, I think we can both agree that we should be up 2 nil with our chances here...good keeping by Hennessey.brentonNo. I refuse to agree. This is a blog, after all.
brentonGoooooooooalllllll!!!!Homey_MillsVery nice one from RvP. Right footed even. I never thought we were a threat in that position, and it came from nothing. Now let's get another.EdwardPatrickany streams up?brentonTry atdhenet dot tv.Perry S.nice find, i thought after the original domain went down, my #1 source for streams was dead.MartinSeriously, though -- if you haven't seen the Rooney goal, track it down. It's the kind of goal, that, had someone scored it on Playstation, you'd get frustrated at the game's lack of realism.TheGunShopI saw it, it only makes sense that United took the lead with a goal of that caliber off a deflection. Following Dzecko's deflected goal off Silva's back.Homey_MillsYes, I mentioned that in the last thread. It was really sick. Maybe they'll still slip up against Chelsea or against someone.SairaxBoo. Go Arsenal :)Fred JacobYea let get them boys, hope wolves feel they did use a favour and keep or invincible status intact, they would feel they would bet us
