Chelsea must bounce back against Copenhagen on Tuesday night

After Chelsea were defeated by Everton on penalties in the FA Cup on Saturday you would have thought the world had come to an end.

A number of Chelsea fans have jumped on the back of Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Disappointing

The FA Cup defeat may have been disappointing but Chelsea are still in the Champions League at least.

Their whole season has been disappointing but they have a relatively straight forward tie against Copenhagen to come in Europe’s elite competition.

I think most Premier League clubs would just be happy to be in the Champions League but Chelsea are a massive ambitious club and being in only one competition is not good enough for their fans.

Comfortable

Copenhagen are the first Danish team to ever qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League. However at the end of the day they shouldn’t really trouble a team of Chelsea’s quality. Even in bad form Chelsea must surely have enough about them to defeat the Danish side over two legs.

Patchy

Chelsea started the season as one of the favourites for both Champions League and Premier League but their form this campaign has been very patchy. The players just don’t seem to have the same drive as last season.
