Lineups are in:
Leyton Orient: Starters: Jones, Whing, Chorley, Forbes, Daniels, Smith, Dawson (C), Crowe, Cox, McGleish, Revell Bench: Omozusi, Butcher, Tehoue, Cestor, Carroll, Mpoku, Kane
Arsenal: Starters: Almunia (C), Sagna, Squillaci, Miquel, Gibbs, Song, Denilson, Rosicky, Bendtner, Chamakh, Arshavin Bench: Cesc, Koscielny, Nasri, Wilshere, Clichy, Eboue, Szczesny
Big changes from the Champions League game midweek. The first thing that sticks out is our backline. I don’t know about you, but seeing Almunia behind Squillaci and Iggy makes me very nervous. Iggy (Miquel) is baking his first start for us this season. I wonder how long it will take before Squizz inadvertently headbutts him before we concede. I kid, I kid! Gibbsy takes Clichy’s spot while Sagna provides a bit of experience at the back in place of Eboue. Denilson partners Song in the middle of the park. Theo van Nasregas is suppplanted by Rosicky, Bendtner, Chamakh and Arshavin. Basically our second string here. It’s fine though, because they’ve been great in the cup games this season. Ahem.
Let’s face it, we can easily be complacent here and lose so the guys need to be totally focused. At the very least we need to score a couple because I can’t see us not conceding (would be glad to be proved wrong!). I would love to see us continue in the FA Cup, so let’s not dally and get us a win today. I suppose a replay would not be so bad, but I really hate them, so a win would be great.
A little tidbit I just picked up today from our friends over at Barcelona Offside: apparently this season whenever a team has beaten Barcelona they go on to lose their next match….and several more after. Let’s make sure we break that cule curse today.
The draw for the next round of the FA Cup has already been held, so if we manage to get through, we will be facing Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarterfinals. Oh goody.
Come on Arsenal!

brentonOh, now you show initiative? Get off the pitch. You deserve nothing.SairaxDammit, I hate replays. Can't say I didn't see it coming thoughbrentonFuck off. Fuck right off. We suck.JGYou have to be kidding me. How USELESS is our second string?brentonBendtner is useless on the wing. A real lack of movement.
(Last time I wrote something similar he put in that beautiful cross for RvP's header.)JGDid Rosicky score? In other news, did I just see Silvio Berlusconi attend a self-esteem seminar?brentonOur passing has been so lazy.brenton68th minute, best move of the game, Arshavin cuts it back to Rosicky in the box, shot right at the keeper.brentonIt used to be that our sub bench was seen as one of the best ten teams in England. Now we struggle against League One opposition. Brutal.brentonIs this the part where we get complacent? I worry.SJGgumbyDid I miss the part where we weren't complacent?Westline79The 8th miracle of the world.
In other news, hell just froze over.
C'mon Arsenal!brentonGOOOOOAAALLLLL! Rosicky header.FelegyRosicky is not equipped to be the creative force in our midfield either. Pretty much everything he does out there drives me crazy! I would love to see Jack in that more forward midfield role in a game like this.FelegyNevermind.... :)FelegyChamakh has looked like a shell of the guy that we saw at the start of the season. A goal in the second half would help get some confidence back hopefully.SairaxIt's a good thing I prepared myself for the team playing like crap, or else I'd be mad right nowSJGgumbyAgreed, I can't seem to get myself too worked up over this. Not even sure I'd care too much about a replay, given that our second team seems to need the games.SairaxHopefully we'll get something in the 2nd half. At least we've been getting in their half. Need to do better finishing though so let's hope one of our strikers can find their shooting boots quickSJGgumbySo you're saying they played the first half without boots on? I guess that explains *some* of it.Fred JacobCant believe or second team plays so badlyFred JacobI hope Rosicky and Bendtner goes at the end of the seasonSJGgumbyThat seems like a long time to wait...
I kid, I kid. Really hope Chamakh gets a goal today, he could really, really, really use it.SairaxHe looks totally devoid of confidence, poor guyFred Jacobimagine we haven't even gotten a cornerbrentonBest chance, Chamakh not quite ready for Gibbs' deflected pass.
Bendtner, your shooting has already been shit, 35 minutes in.Fred JacobWow and he wants to be our number one strikerbrentonDenilson's passing has been pretty mediocre as well. Maybe he's only good if he plays regularly?brentonSong is really showing his weakness as a forward today. Quite a few giveaways around Orient's box.Fred Jacobatleast he making and effort, Rosicky and Bendtner he doing anythingbrentonHow hard is it to get up for a Cup match? Apparently it's too much for these guys, who should be playing for a spot in the first team.Fred JacobWow nice one by MiguelbrentonThis is a bit better, as we start to dominate possession. (17th minute)Fred JacobSquizz is an Ass, he could atleast hit the ball to the side for a throwbrentonTwice now Sagna to a well-marked Denilson has led to a stupid turnover.
And what was Squillaci thinking, giving away a corner like that?brenton10 minutes in, we haven't looked particularly dangerous.brentonThat backline makes me nervous.Perry S.Hoping Chamakh gets one today...Fred Jacobyea me to and RosickyGoonerBenAnyone got a good link for a stream?Fred Jacobi trying to seen you the link but it saying it has to be approved by DisquisGoonerBenOk, thanks for trying.Fred Jacob/http://sportsstreamslive.com//Fred Jacobwow we got a hard drawSairaxAnd if we do go through and play Man Utd, the game will be played after.....wait for it.....the Barcelona away gameFred Jacobwow you seriousFred Jacobanywhere to sream
