Okay, okay, turns out Luis Suarez got his international clearance and will be in the squad for the match tonight. In fairness, there was little doubt that if he got the clearance he’d be in the squad and potentially the starting eleven, but things like policies and rules always scare me. It’s great news, though, and hopefully he’s got a part to play. There’s always the danger of trying to do too much or push too hard the first time out, but that’s going to be the case with any new signing. Plus, people trying too hard isn’t necessarily something any of us are going to complain about.
Other than that, it’s a fantastically silent build-up to today’s match. A few mumblings and grumblings about Andy Carroll’s agent lawsuit thingy along with a Kevin Nolan testimonial, but otherwise a silent (and in my case, snowy) morning.
