Lazio manager Edoardo Reja said he is desperate to see his side end their barren spell and return to winning ways in the Serie A.
The Romans head to relegation-threatened Brescia on Sunday having won one game from their past four, but still hold fourth place in the league.
However, Reja is concerned his side will lose their Champions League spot if they continued to drop points.
“We’d like to start winning again away from home, since we’ve been lacking in that area,” he said.
“This would help to compensate for the false steps that we’ve taken in home matches, starting with Lecce and the other draws we’ve had recently.”
“As far as the other teams are concerned, some teams behind us are picking up momentum.”
“We’ve often been criticised, but AC Milan for example have gained the same number of points as us in the last five matches.”
Reja believes his side’s drop in form could be down to their growing injury list.
“Recently we’ve had some difficulties and there have been some injuries. I’ve only got four players available defenders and there aren’t too many other solutions. As you know, (Javier) Garrido isn’t ready yet,” he said.
“We’re undergoing a difficult period as far as our physical capabilties are is concerned. As you know Mobido Diakite also needs a bit more time, and (Guglielmo) Stendardo has had the flu for three weeks.”
Lazio won their home fixture against Brescia 1-0 in October courtesy of a Stefano Mauri goal.
