Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will bring Guus Hiddink back to the club this summer as the Director of Football.
The 64-year-old had a successful spell as caretaker manger of the West London club in 2009, bringing the FA Cup to Stamford Bridge.
The Dutchman is currently in charge of Turkey but are struggling to qualify for the Euro 2012 tournament.
Hiddink needs two wins in as many games to have a chance of progressing to the finals or we will be sacked.
“I’m trying to make a better Turkish national team,” the 64-year-old said.
“If I can’t do that, I’ll ask the chairman to sack me. Six points from these two games is vital.
“If we don’t get that I can offer my resignation to the chairman and then it’s up to him. It will mean that I am not a successful manager.”
Regardless of these results, Abramovich wants his old friend back at the club to replace the outgoing Sporting Director Frank Arnesen.
Hiddink would be in charge of player recruitment and devising a strategy for the academy.
