That’s the loss posted by the Glazer’s Red Football Joint Venture, which is the holding company for United.
On the heels of the financials being revealed, the expected reassurances of transfer funds being available for SAF were brought up yet again. We’ve heard the same line spun over and over again as the club’s debt level steadily increased. Consequently, we’ve been outmuscled in the transfer market in the past few seasons and one can conclude that it is tied to the need for extreme financial austerity. As much as SAF goes on about only buying upon finding value in the market, that appears to be a more recent occurrence that has coincided with the ever growing Glazer debt.
Actions speak louder than words (and all the assurances that the Glazers can throw out at fans). The fans are tired with the excuses and fronts. We’ve made our feelings known and our voices heard.
You want us to believe that there actually is money? Let’s buy some quality individuals this summer and give our squad the refresh that is at least a season overdue.
We would really love to eat our words about the Glazers and the whole transfer situation. In reality, it doesn’t look like we’ll get to.
