Injury Update: The return of the Rocket Man

Carlo Ancelotti mentioned in his press conference yesterday that our other Brazilian centerback (the one with the complete opposite hairstyle of Sideshow Bob) is nearing return and should hopefully be available for selection next week.

Yes, after a lengthy injury lay-off, Alex is close to returning to the squad. He should be back late next week, but not for the Copenhagen match. But his availability opens up a new defensive headache. Surely, as he’ll likely not be match fit yet, the gaffer will stick with the pairing of EBJT and David Luiz (hoping he recovers from his hamstring strain in time for Monday) for now. Before the purchase of Luiz, my favored backline was Ivanovic, Alex, JT and Ashley Cole. But Luiz is impressive and has already become a fan-favorite, so where does that leave Alex? Both can apparently score goals, but Luiz likes to bound forward a bit more than Alex does. Let’s assume all of our defenders are fully fit – who do you chose as the back four?

In other injury news, Yossi Benayoun has also begun training outside alone, but Ancelotti can’t predict when he will be back. At least he is making progress.

And, just for the hell of it, my goal of the season so far – Alex’s rocket against Arsenal. I have missed the guy, what can I say?

He got tired of Athena giving him head on Mt Olympus, so he's decided to join us mortals in our quest for Champions League glory.. If he scores a free kick like that in the Champions League Final, I'll change my religion to Alexianism... An epic free kick taker he is.JackApologies to all our regular posters for the nonsense that is King Kenny and his multiple personality disorder. I've attempted to ban many of the email addresses he was using, and left him with one avenue, so we'll see how it goes from now on. Again, apologies.AjJack you also use below methods too if all else fails

Pre-moderation

You may choose to pre-moderate all comments posted on your site. All comments, spam or not, will require moderator approval before being published for others to see. Another option you may want to try is pre-moderating all links in comments. To view and change moderation settings, head to Settings > Moderation.
Blacklists and Whitelists

Disqus offers both blacklists and whitelists. After marking comments as spam, you may add the commenter to your blacklist. Alternatively, you could require pre-moderation on all comments and then add trusted commenters to your whitelist.
Decide who is allowed to comment

By controlling who comments on your site, you can prevent spam or other undesirable comments from being posted on your site. You can view these options under Settings > General.
Akismet

One technique by spammers is to create valid accounts with Disqus and leaving seemingly innocuous comments, but adding undesirable spam links. I really don't want to moderate all comments, simply because people should be able to come here and say what they want - good or bad. What they shouldn't be allowed to do is manipulate said system by using multiple names, including those of regular posters.MaxI appreciate your efforts in trying to ban my impostor and clearing me of looking like a douche.KING KENNYDIDNT DO HIS HOMEWORK DID HE, TRYING TO BE A SMARTASS. good god is your life really THAT miserable?Ajyeah mate u carry on, its not like you got a life or a gf or any friends for that matter. u sad pathethic excuse for a human.James GregoryI would have Ivanovich - Alex - Terry - Cole for the back four, but I would try out David Luiz as a defensive midfielder. In this way, the tendencies to move forward or hang back of Alex and David Luiz are well accommodated while still maintaining a strong defense.blog comments powered by Disqus
