In need of some bouncebackability?

By: Aidan | September 17th, 2010

bouncebackability-1Newcastle travel to Everton on Saturday looking to get back on track after last week’s disappointment against Blackpool. A bit of Iain Dowie style “bouncebackability” is requried!

Everton of course got themselves going against Man Utd last week with their two late goals so a difficult afternoon might be in store for the Toon.

I would take a draw right now frankly, and I’m hoping that Chris Hughton will see fit to introduce our new players a little more after Ben Arfa’s brief introduction last weekend. The lack of real production from Jonas Gutierrez and more pointedly from Wayne Routledge seems to be crying out for the Frenchman to get his chance.

If Sol Campbell gets on for his debut then he’ll be doing so on his 36th birthday, hoping to plug one or two little holes at the back.

One other things of note is that James Perch has so far been booked in every league match – 4 out of 4. If he manages it again he will pick up a rather swift suspension…impressive stuff.

Like I say I’d take a draw, but I’m not overly confident about it – but if pushed for a prediction, I’ll go for a 1-1 draw.
