Birmingham City Sign Barcelona Playmaker Alexander Hleb On Season Long Loan

Birmingham have sealed a deal to sign Alexander Hleb on a one-year loan deal – and are close to adding Chile winger Jean Beausejour.
Manager Alex McLeish moved for Hleb after failing to tie up a move for Wigan’s Charles N’Zogbia.

Well Alex McLeish has pulled off a masterstroke with this deal. Alexander Hleb may well have struggled to make it at the Nou Camp but he is still a very talented player who last term proved himself whilst on loan at Stuttgart.

The Belarus attacking midfielder has proven himself in the Premier League with Arsenal and will surely be a great signing for the St Andrews’ outfit who have already brought in good new signings in Ben Foster and Nikola Zigic as well as loan capture Matt Derbyshire.
