Just a quick word, this is a big game despite being so early in the season for a few fairly obvious reasons…1) Everton need a win to break their duck…2) Villa, despite their 6-0 shaming at the hands of Newcastle last week, is going to be one of their biggest obstacles to gaining a European place, and 3) after the international break, there follows a 9/11 home date with Man U, followed by the aforementioned shamers of Villans. The Toffees could be in a big hole like last year if they don’t have it together.
Agbonlahor, Carew and Dunne could be out for Villa, but Everton will likely be without the services of the Nigerian duo Anichebe and Yakubu, as well as Phil Neville (obviously hoping to be back for Man U).
The Toffees will probably miss the fancy footwork of Yakubu at the Villa
