Not exactly the boost my fragile state needed ahead of Tuesday.

Together again
Meh.
I’d say that just about sums up Saturday afternoon at the Bridge. It was another labored performance, salvaged somewhat by the industry of Didier Drogba, the return of both Alex and Yossi and Flo’s first goal for two-plus months.
That was it, though, really. Torres’ search for a breakthrough continues, this 30-minute shift certain to be highlighted by his woeful control when played clean through rather than the overall productivity and encouraging link-up with the impressive Benayoun. His confidence must be at an extreme low, regardless.
Sure, the three points are crucial, particularly with Spurs winning as well. I applaud a win no matter how it arrives. But right now, with what we have in front of us, more was expected. Even a return to the traditional 4-3-3 didn’t produce as I thought. Here’s to hoping this incoherent, jagged display sparks a far more impressive outing next week at Old Trafford. No reason that cannot be the case.
Match recap coming tonight. For now, have a vote in the man of the match poll before offering a comment or six below. We’d appreciate it. KTBFFH

Great performance by Yossi and Drogba more than anyone, although Torres/Luiz/Ramires put in solid shifts as well.RayThere is some deep problem in the team...maybe something in the background...something in the dressing room...something psychological...cant quite put my finger on it though...blog comments powered by Disqus
