The medic on duty for the Copa do Brasil game between Comercial PI and Palmeiras had this very interesting way of attending to an injured player.

Beckham has Spurs medical

David Beckham has undergone a medical at Tottenham before joining up with the Spurs squad in training on Tuesday.

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder is set to train with the English Premier League side until February, when he will return to the United States to prepare for the coming MLS season.

Beckham, 35, was originally expected to make a loan move to White Hart Lane and make a handful of domestic and Champions League appearances for Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.

However, concerns over insuring Beckham after he injured his Achilles while on-loan to AC Milan last season appear to have scuppered any hopes of a Premier League return for the former Manchester United midfielder.

Tottenham are reportedly working with Galaxy to resurrect the loan deal, with Spurs bosses hopeful of finding an equitable solution to contentious issues of salary share and insurance.

Galaxy bosses are believed to be reticent to send Beckham out on loan without considerable protection on their part, given the 35-year-old missed much of the 2010 MLS season due to his Achilles injury.

Reports: Dzeko in City medical

Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko is reportedly due to have a medical on Wednesday or Thursday, paving the way to a 27 million pound move to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old joined Wolfsburg in 2007 and has scored 66 goals from his 111 games for the Bundesliga club.

He is under contract until 2013, but City boss Roberto Mancini revealed on Tuesday the two clubs had agreed a fee for the Bosnian.

Wolfsburg boss Steve McClaren admitted he would be sorry to see the striker depart, but was confident he could succeed in the English Premier League.

“He is a goal scorer who gets them with his left foot, his right foot, his head – he can score all types of goals,” McClaren told the Daily Telegraph.

“He is a good buy for them. He’s a good boy but he needs to work harder now he is in the Premier League than he does at present. But he will adjust, no problem.”

“He definitely has something that City miss. He will be ideal for City, especially alongside Carlos Tevez. That will be a very potent partnership.”

Squillaci set for Arsenal medical on Monday

According to Sevilla, Sebastien Squillaci will be traveling to London on Monday for a medical in preparation for a permanent transfer to Arsenal.

A statement on their website read: "A transfer deal has been agreed, subject to the player passing a medical."

An offer of £6.5m has been accepted by Sevilla. That is the amount that the Spanish club paid Lyon for his services when he arrived in 2008.

Nothing on the Arsenal website about the recent developments. But there is an Saturday entry which states that "Wenger is far from close to signing Squillaci". Arsenal is famously tight lipped when it comes to transfers - Wikileaks would have a tough time with our club.

Squillaci will be welcome cover to the center back corps which has looked dangerously thin with just Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny as fully match fit. Johan Djourou is on the cusp but has not played a match in over a year.
