Shocking refereeing decision costs Albion the game Match Report

Unbelievable, Pablo’s sending off was an absolutely shocking decision and ultimately changed the game.

1. Before the sending off Blackpool arguably had settled down more but Albion still looked dangerous on the attack with Simon Cox’s shot stopped with a great save by Gilks.

2. The Pablo sending off – Yes it was a penalty, no way was that a red card. Down to ten men in the opening 10 minutes away from home is a tough task.

3. You have got to feel bad for Cox who was sacrificed for the sending off, he looked right up for it and was unlucky not to score early on. Let’s hope he’s in the team again soon.

4.The Jara sending off -Yes it was a horrific tackle, I have no complaints with that – Jara should be ashamed. Although it would be very hard to argue against the fact that it was the absurd sending off of Pablo which created the intense atmosphere in which tackles were flying in from both sides with aggression, but still that’s not an excuse for Jara.

5. Even with 9 men we were totally outplaying Blackpool, every Attack they had was defended well and we managed to create many chances on the break, the 9 men we had left should be applauded, they were brilliant.

6. With our performance I would have said we still would have not have lost with 10 men but going down to 9 was just too much for us.

Overall I am so proud of our players for playing like they did.
