Manchester City have suffered a huge blow ahead of their FA Cup 2011 Semifinal vs Manchester United at Wembley with the news that striker Carlos Tevez will miss the game with an injury. Tevez, easily City’s most influential player on the pitch, suffered the injury in Man City’s 3-0 loss to Liverpool last Monday and was subbed early in the fixture.
Tevez’s injury is bad news for City, who are effectively out of the title race and are facing a three way battle with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur for two Champions League spots.
City manager Roberto Mancini has said that Tevez will be out for close to three- four weeks, meaning that the forward does have a chance to play the final vs either Stoke or Bolton if City do beat their neighbours in the semifinal this weekend.
