Arsenal thrashed Braga at the Emirates in a very one sided contest. Arsene Wenger must have been rubbing his hands with glee as his Gunners side swept imperiously past their Portuguese opponents with consumate ease.
Cesc Fabregas got the ball rolling with an early penalty and once Arshavin had double the lead ten minutes later, the game was over as a contest. Marouane Chamakh added a third before the break. The Arsenal skipper added a fourth soon after the break.
Sub Carlos Vela then put in a cameo performance netting twice thanks to clever approach work.
