Theo Out 6 Weeks -- Where Do We Go From Here?

">digg:  reddit:  stumbleupon: KxevinSo, at what point does Arsenal decide, after yet another season that is already beginning to become derailed by injuries, that something needs to happen with the club's physios?

A fundamental part of Guardiola's coaching job application was overhauling the Barca medical staff, and the silly "magic bottle of water." He brought in new people and theories, including preventive training, diet and individualized training programs. As a result, Messi has been injury-free for two straight seasons. Until that point he hadn't played a full, injury-free season for us. When people are injured, they almost always come back early, as well.

I look at American sports and the things they do as regards preventive maintenance, stretching and rehabbing of injuries, as well. I just think that there is something funky when year after year, a team gets bitten by the injury bug. Does it stop being bad luck at some point?SairaxI had heard we had changed some of our medical staff, but I'm not totally sure. I'd like to second the question though. There's obviously something off about our medical staff and the way we deal with injuries.

(I should add that when Wenger first came to the club, he radically changed the ways in which players trained and their diets etc. This is one of his biggest influences on English football as far as I know and got players like Keown and Adams fit and playing well even though they were getting older)NKG_BosSo Theo's injury leaves him out for just long enough for him to be healthy again by the next international break? Yeah, I meant Bendtner. Sorry -- early morning brain lapse.PeevishHey dude - don't give me a heart attack by saying Chamakh is out too.

I for one hope Wenger starts JET , at least against Bolton where he will be a good type of player, and Sunderland, rather than moving players all out of position. Although I do realize that hoping for Wenger to do something is like hoping for the earth to stop rotating on its axis in order to enjoy an extra month or two of summerDarren_V2nd Paragraph... RVP and Chamakh are both injured, or Bendtner?SairaxWe can cope against Bolton. Gotta roll with the punches. Come on Vela!

(I think you meant RvP and Bendtner are injured in your 2nd paragraph)FelegyYeah, I kind of freaked out when I read that Chamakh was injured too!! How did I miss that!!?? I'm sure he meant Bendtner though.
This reminds me so much of the injury to RvP last year. The guy was in amazing form for the team that pays his salary for the early part of the season, he plays in a stupid f***ing international game and gets injured, and then has to come back into form at one of the most crucial points of the season!! So frustrating!! We can go an entire season without seeing him at the same level that he started the season....Darren_VExcept he didnt get injured in an international for once!Y2jWhere Do We Go From Here? - WE pack our bags and go home, what u think where we go from here!!!! We just carry on.blog comments powered by Disqus
