Mark Hughes’ Black & White Army are set to invade Anfield today and if the stars align just right, the boys could make history.
Fulham have never won at Anfield and I remember at the time this fixture was originally scheduled, I actually liked our chances to nick a victory against a Liverpool side struggling under the leadership of Roy Hodgson. However, Liverpool have a new leader and are playing much better lately. So my the confidence I once had has been dashed a bit.
I do not believe that we’re going to get that historic first Anfield win today, but that’s not to say I believe we’ll head back to Craven Cottage empty handed. I’m predicting a 1-1 draw, which I’m positive any Fulham supporter would take.
Clint Dempsey & Andy Johnson have both played solid football lately and I don’t see that changing today. Some fans are worried about the fact that Dickson Etuhu & Aaron Hughes are both questionable today due to knocks suffered this past weekend. But I believe Steve Sidwell can more than fill the Etuhu void and we paid good money for Rafik Halliche, so it’s high time he prove his value.
Often times, football is all about momentum and Fulham have positive momentum heading into today’s clash. Despite all the flag waving & supporter singing, I believe our boys will play strong and earn a draw. If you live in the United States, the match airs live on Fox Soccer Channel this afternoon.
My projected XI: Stockdale, Pantsil, Hangeland, Halliche, Baird, Dempsey, Murphy,Sidwell, Duff, Dembele, A.Johnson

Yeah, we’ve been counting our blessings that this one didn’t take place a month ago. Should be a good match anyhow.
