Out-of-favour Bayern Munich striker Miroslav Klose is strongly considering a move away from the Bundesliga champions.
Klose, 32, has started just six games and failed to find the net for Bayern this season, despite starring for Germany in their run to the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup.
The Polish-born frontman’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to be offered a new deal.
While he remains open to extending his stay at the Allianz Arena, the prospect of a transfer is increasingly likely.
“My first point of contact is Bayern Munich,” Klose told Kicker.
“But I am open to anything and could seriously imagine a move within the Bundesliga or overseas.”
Klose said he wanted ‘to continue to play for a good club because I want to go to the European Championships in 2012′.
He also conceded that his club were unlikely to catch runaway Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, who are 14 points clear of the reigning champions.
“We are aiming for second place,” he said.
