A day after Fulham announced the loan signing of Chelsea youngster Gael Kakuta, Fulham is making transfer headlines again this morning as the club is close to working out a deal with Liverpool to bring out of favor defender, Paul Konchesky, back to Craven Cottage on a loan deal.
Konchesky followed Roy Hodgson to Anfield this past summer, but with the sacking of our former leader, Paul doesn’t seem to be part of King Kenny’s plans.
Mark Hughes is looking for a quality left back since Carlos Salcido seems to be out of favor at the moment. Bringing back Konchesky seems like a natural fit. While many Fulham supporters have mixed feelings on Roy Hodgson, I believe Paul Konchesky would be welcomed back with open arms.
The transfer window closes next Monday, so it will be interesting to see if a deal can be done by then. I would personally welcome this move, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Why Paul K.? He is marginal at best. Salcedo is better at left back, but we need a right back. Right back is the easiest position to fill, yet we stick w/ J. Pantsil? He is horrible, not just because of Liverpool, but he is a flat out tragedy. Dempsey created chances, but his give away was deplorable and D. Murphy was shocking against Liverpool. If he prides himself as a playmaker, he was straight aweful against the reds. He looked like he was 50 years old out there. I think once healthy we are OK attacking, but we need both fullbacks accounted for. Baird is OK, but for real now.
