What do you mean that title was misleading and I’m a deceptive bastard? I’m sorry if once you reach a certain age you have to be mindful to take your daily stroll to keep the blood pumping and the muscles from atrophying, but it’s hardly my fault that that’s the case, now is it? And if sometimes, being a man who’s reached a certain age, Roy Hodgson does indeed feel a need to walk on through the hills and fields and… well, I’m not sure about that part where he walked on water, if I’m being honest, but there you go. Carry on.

•of an inferior or deplorable condition, being in a sorry state
eg. Watching from the sidelines, he always had a woebegone look on his face.
Definitions of woybegone (woy•be•gone):
•first step in restoration of esteemed sporting institution to rightful position of unrivalled powerhouse in world football
•removal of smug grin from face of potential destroyer
•extreme form of elation best treated by consumption of large volumes of alcohol
•eleventh hour arrival of reason to not kill oneself and watch football instead
