Arsenal Plan Last Ditch Move for £14m Rated Keeper Hugo Lloris

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will make a last ditch attempt to sign Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris and may offer Manuel Almunia as part of any deal to take the French international from the Ligue 1 side. The Gunners boss is still trying to capture Mark Schwarzer from Fulham but is looking to hedge his bets by making a substantial offer for the 23 year old Nice born goalie.

Lyon have started the season poorly and sit 15th in the domestic table after the opening four games and Lloris could be persuaded to make the move to the Premier League, a move he may feel is a step up from the Ligue 1.

Although some reports believe that the Emirates boss is willing to stick with Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski it is worth noting that Wenger has made bids for replacements for the current first team pair which would indicate a willingness to bring in a new first choice custodian.
