A rather large influx of personal and work related issues resulted in me missing the first two matches of the season. All 180 minutes (and then some). So, me being able to update the Spurs page regularly was, needless to say, a bit of an ambitious attempt. However, everything has been sorted out and things have returned to normalcy.
I apologize for the lack of updates in the past, but things will be back in full swing from now on.
Starting today with Young Boys.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends.
What: UEFA Champion’s League Play-Off, 2nd Leg (Boys lead 3-2 on agg)
Where: White Hart Lane, Tottenham, London
When: 2:45 EST (which is in about 20 minutes)
How: FSC… if you’re one of the unfortunate ones, try a stream. Myp2p.eu and ATDHE.net should get the job done.
We’re obviously not in the position I (or many of you) would of believed we would have been in after the 1st leg against the 7th place team in the Swiss Super League. The first leg was awful, no doubt about it. We were thisclose to tossing group stage play out the window. We came out flat, underdetermined, and not ready to play. The team, much like myself, assumed we would be handed two wins. In turn, Young Boys were the complete opposite. Energetic, not one ounce of fear, winning a majority of the 50/50 balls, and ready to give their Swiss tifosi something to cheer about. And they did.
Despite all that, we still escaped with a decent result. I except the lads to storm onto the pitch and control this match from the first whistle. Majority of possession, majority of the chances, majority of the shots… the works.
Starting XI:
Two changes from the win at Stoke. King and Defoe in for Kaboul and Jenas. Cudicini, Giovani, Keane and Pavlyuchenko return to bench. TEAM: Gomes; Corluka, Dawson, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Huddlestone, Palacios, Bale; Crouch, Defoe. Subs: Cudicini, Kaboul, Jenas, Kranjcar, Giovani, Keane, Pavlyuchenko.
Kickoff is an about 5 minutes. I’ll be back after the match for a complete roundup of the action, so make sure you check back in. As always, share your thoughts in the comments section. See you after the match.
Go Spurs.

Great first half. Crouch and Assou-Ekotto hav been brilliant. As has Bale.
Gomes needs to come out. Not sure why Harry refused to make the switch earlier in the half…

How do you all stop yourselves from making “young boy” jokes?
The commentary alone on this game has me snickering.
