Lineups are in:

Man City: Starters: Hart, Richards, Boyata, Kompany, Boeteng, DeJong, Yaya Toure, Barry, Silva, Tevez, Milner Bench: Given, Bridge, Vieira, A Johnson, Lescott, Adebayor, Balotelli

Arsenal: Starters: Fabianski, Sagna, Djourou, Squillaci, Clichy, Song, Denilson, Fabregas, Arshavin, Chamakh, Nasri Bench: Szczesny, Koscielny, Rosicky, Walcott, Eboue, Gibbs, Bendtner

Looks like I was pretty close with our starting XI. I think it will resemble a 4-2-3-1 as we’ve been seeing lately. Hopefully everyone will pay attention to their defensive duties so that we’re not left exposed at the back. Denilson over Diaby will allow us to keep better possession through the middle. (Note: Diaby picked up an ankle injury in the warmup). Surprisingly, Kos is on the bench, so perhaps he is nearing full fitness. I expect we’ll use Theo as an impact sub. His pace can wear down their defense in the final quarter of the match. As for City, it looks like Adepaymore is starting on the bench where he belongs. Silva and Milner will be a handful on the wings and Tevez is going to have to be kept quiet for as long as possible. They have Balotelli and our ex-25 as options off the bench who are both big physical strikers capable of scoring. If we can get our passing game going and attack while taking our chances, we have a good chance at winning. It will be very difficult, but let’s hope for the best.

Come on Arsenal!

And I saw it directly for a change!! and with Gigi Jr, nonetheless!!!! (he cried when Cesc missed the pen so my boy is a definite gooner!!)

Flaps amazing, defence focused, great goals by all three, Bendtner on the pitch for like 8 mins and scoring,...fantastic, Adepaymore not scoring priceless, Tevez not scoring kind of a presentation card since he is on fire lately.

Really looking fwd to the players ratings, since I saw the whole match I am planning to bore you all with mine in the comments!!! :)

SairaxOk I need to stop hyperventilating and I'll try and get the report up as soon as I canPerry S.Nicklas Bendtner...Arsenal's very own victory cigar.TJWhat a finish St. Nick! fuck yeah.ndAlmunia out for the season? Is that right?Casimirlong running joke here. Almunia gets these phantom injuries, like the "chest infection" (though it could be legit... if he had a random infection like I had once, it really makes playing impossible) last year and this year with the shoulder injury supposedly from saving a penalty. Its been a month now, sprain shoulder should have healed, but he's still not on the field or a sub. so just a joke here like JG said, that after Almunia makes a mistake, he's gone for mysterious injuries until Arsene feels like putting him in again or the replacement makes a mistake.JGnah, it's just a little joke here that whenever Almunia has a howler, he gets "injured" well now that Fabianski is doing great.. do the math..
he really is fineJordanOnce Fabianski has a howler, let's hope it doesn't happen ever again, he'll get injured.JGOn a completely unrelated note, Almunia is out for the rest of the season :Dmattnot an arsenal fan but so glad you're handling these buttholes. score 3-4 more while you're at it boysbrentonwaltersRosicky on for Arshavin. Smart. Such a great work rate. Rosicky, that is, not Arshavin.brentonwaltersSong's kind of like Jesus with a football lately.JGSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!brentonwaltersGoal Song!!!
brentonwaltersGreat tackle by Cesc.

I have a feeling Arshavin is going to score. And we better, considering that "no clean sheets since January" statistic.JGSeeing shades of our hesitancy to shoot like against Bolton... come on guys shoot!~!!!steven.55 minutes and no one feels like shooting.....what the hell was that all about?JGAnd Adebascum coming in for Tevez... let's hope he's offside 30 timesJGFabregas being lazy.. not goodbrentonwaltersI'm nervous. How have we played? I hate, hate, hate missing penalties.goonerbengetting really nervous here. city are looking to get an arsenal man sent off. We've had fab, song, denilson and djourou all booked and i could see one of them getting sent off. We could really use diaby right now on for denilson to add a bit more steel to our midfield. We may yet live to rue that fabregas penalty miss. fingers crossed as second half kicks off. come on arsenalJGuh... I came back from church, saw the scoreline Man City 0-1 Arsenal, and was cheering. then i rewinded to see the goal, and saw Fabregas' penalty miss!! now i'm a bit nervous...MikeGetting a bit chippy.SairaxBoyata first red of the nightsteven.good luck with this one today....blog comments powered by Disqus
