Tweet « Blackburn 3, Liverpool 1: Poor, Poor Roy Hodgson | Home | Roy Hodgson Calls FSG’s Bluff »lfc80ukThe bottom line is that the club have traded down in terms of management whether people care to admit it or not! Hodgson was never the first choice amongst Liverpool fans an in all honesty I doubt Hodgson would have been in the top ten of possible candidates when he was appointed in the summer.

As I have previously stated Liverpool, at the moment, are in a catch twenty two situation! At this stage no potential replacement will become available until the summer. The only quality managers available at this time would be either Rijkaard or Benitez( and I am sure Inter have put a clause in his contract that will not allow him to manage another club until the summer)

People in the media can try and spin it anyway they want but I am 100% confident that had Rafa still been in charge there would be no way Liverpool would be anywhere near the relegation zone this season let alone languishing in midtable. People forget that two seasons ago we finished runners up with pretty much the same squad and a record haul of 86 points as well as the best goal difference in the league.

Had we stuck with Rafa and had Aqualani finally filling the role that Alonso vacated, this season, with the same squad (including Mascherano, who only left due to the mediocrity of Hodgson, he always had a good relationship with Rafa) I feel we would have given a much better showing of ourselves this season. But I guess we will never know what might have been.

So whatever FSG decide to do, whether it be a Kenny as caretaker manager until the end of the season, or replacing Hodgson with a permanent replacement now or in the summer. The bottom line is that Hodgon is not the man to lead this great club, he is tactically inept, marginalises players, not to mention embarrassing this club in the media with his 'Royisms'

Rafa may have been sacked for finishing 7th and with 63 points after one bad season! But there was always progress! If Hodgson is not sacked for leading this club into the lowest points total thus far in a season since 1957 and a goal difference of -10 then there really is no justice in this world!RedDownUndaSorry Ed, meant to post to Noel. http://www.petitiononline.com/...liverpoolfanatic100thanks for providing the link.NoelIs the bad man not gone yet? Well, not tonight, then. At least it means it's probably safe for me to finish up my post for tomorrow's uber-early slot under the assumption he'll be with the club for at least a few more hours. Yay?KaiI'm more hoping that it's gonna be "at MOST a few more hours". What? A person can hope right? Right?? Hope?? Just a little shred...blog comments powered by Disqus
